A girl had her intestine torn during a colonoscopy at a private hospital in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the Telegram channel Ural Mash. According to the victim, she went to the "Preobrazhenskaya Clinic" on the referral of a gastroenterologist - she was looking for the cause of a rash on her face. During the examination, the doctor found polyps, began to remove one of them, and punctured the intestinal wall. He closed the wound with a clip and called an ambulance. The girl spent two weeks in hospital No. 40 almost immobile, without food and water, so that the clip would take hold. The treatment resulted in muscle atrophy in her back and vision problems. In the "Preobrazhenskaya Clinic," the Ural Mash Telegram channel was told that no one is insured against intestinal damage during a colonoscopy. Calling an ambulance is a safety measure. However, in their opinion, the problems with her back and vision are not related to the procedure. Earlier, doctors removed a cyst the size of a watermelon from the 20-year-old Yekaterinburg resident.
