The water from the Pyshma River has approached the building of the main sanatorium health resort in the Sverdlovsk region.
The embankment of the "Obukhovsky" sanatorium, the oldest in the Sverdlovsk region, has begun to go underwater. This was reported by the EAN agency, citing guests of the sanatorium.
"At the beginning of the week, we were still walking along the embankment. But yesterday everything went underwater, today even the fence is not visible. The water has risen more than a meter. It's already reaching the fir trees, and the building is close," guests of the sanatorium, located on the banks of the Pyshma River in the Kamyshlovsky district, 130 kilometers from Yekaterinburg, told EAN on Friday.
"The reason for the flooding is that the Reftinskoye reservoir is gradually releasing water," the sanatorium explained. "All buildings are reinforced, the situation is under control. Guests are safe, evacuation will not be necessary."
However, today the guests reported to EAN that the water has begun to flood the health resort building.
"Obukhovsky continues to go underwater. Today, some procedures were canceled, massages, as the building itself has already been flooded. Everything has been shut down," people said.
