      Starting from August 1, 2026, pension payments will be increased in Russia for several categories of citizens. The recalculation will affect working pensioners, recipients of funded pensions, Russians who turn 80 in July, as well as former pilots and miners. This was reported to the Prime agency by analyst Elena Kiseleva from the Institute of Comprehensive Strategic Studies.

      According to her, pensions for working pensioners will be recalculated taking into account the insurance contributions received over the past year. The maximum increase will be 470.28 rubles, which can be received by those who earned three pension points over the year.

      Recipients of funded pensions will see their payments indexed by 17.3%. As a result, the average amount of such a pension will increase from approximately 1,600 to 1,900 rubles.

      Pensioners who turn 80 in July will have their fixed payment to the insurance pension doubled—from 9,584 to 19,169 rubles. In addition, they will receive a care allowance of 1,413 rubles.

      Also, starting in August, special supplements for former members of civil aviation flight crews and workers in the coal industry will be recalculated. On average, these will amount to about 30,000 and 6,000 rubles, respectively.

      All changes will be made automatically—there will be no need to contact the Social Fund of Russia for recalculation.
