Two teenagers drowned in the Sverdlovsk region last weekend. This was reported by the EAN publication, citing the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk region.
The first incident occurred on the evening of July 4 on the Iset River near the village of Kodinka, near Kamensk-Uralsky. A 17-year-old young man was resting on the shore with a friend and two girls. While swimming, he began to drown. His friends tried to help him but were unable to. The search for the teenager is still ongoing. Divers and municipal rescue service employees are working at the scene.
— The young man came to Kamensk-Uralsky with his girlfriend to celebrate her birthday at her grandmother's house. In the evening, the group went to the shore of the local river. The guy, while in the water, lost his footing, but since he couldn't swim, he was unable to get out on his own. His friends' attempt to save him was unsuccessful, — added Valery Gorelykh, the press secretary of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region.
The next day, July 5, in the "Narodny" park on the Tagil River, a father brought his 13-year-old daughter to visit a friend. The girls went for a walk in the park and took inflatable rings with them. The friend did not want to swim, but the schoolgirl decided to float. At some point, the inflatable ring was carried away by the current, the girl got scared, and fell out of it. Her body has not yet been found.
— The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case under the article "Negligence." The circumstances of the child's death are being established, — reported Alexander Shulga, the senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk region.
Earlier, a man drowned in Lake Ramada.
