The child fell off her bicycle to the right of the truck's path and did not manage to get up. The driver ran over her with the front wheels of the vehicle.
The girl was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, but efforts to save her were unsuccessful - the child died.
Police are establishing all the circumstances of the tragedy, interviewing witnesses, and conducting an investigation.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminded parents of the inadmissibility of young children being on the roadway without adult supervision. Drivers were also urged to be extremely attentive, adhere to speed limits, and reduce speed in residential areas and near pedestrian crossings.
