The body of water where swimming is officially allowed in the Sverdlovsk region has been named.
In the Sverdlovsk region, only one body of water has received a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion confirming its safety for swimming. It is located on the territory of the "Lenyevka" sanatorium-preventorium in the village of Lenyevka near Nizhny Tagil.
Specialists from the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor recognized the beach and part of the water area of the Lenyevka reservoir adjacent to the health resort's shoreline as meeting sanitary requirements.
As part of the monitoring, sanitary doctors also examined another 42 bodies of water in the region. Inspections showed that almost a third of the water samples—29.6%—do not meet the standards for sanitary-chemical indicators. Violations of microbiological indicators were found in 37.4% of the samples, and for parasitological indicators—in 2.9%.
Rospotrebnadzor reminds that swimming in bodies of water without a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion can pose a danger to health.
