In the Sverdlovsk region, a family suffocated in a vegetable pit.
In the village of Bulanash near Artemovsky, a tragedy occurred that claimed the lives of three people. A couple and their 35-year-old daughter died in a vegetable pit. The incident was reported to emergency services by the granddaughters of the landowners. By the time help arrived, all three were already without signs of life.
As reported by "KP-Ekaterinburg" from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Sverdlovsk region, the tragedy took place on Repina Street.
After the incident, the head of the Artemovsky municipal district, Andrey Klimenko, addressed the residents with a call to observe safety measures. He reminded that during flooding and prolonged rains, dangerous gas can accumulate in vegetable pits, cellars, basements, wells, and other enclosed underground spaces, while oxygen concentration may decrease.
According to the district head, in such conditions, a person may feel weakness, dizziness, lose consciousness, and may not be able to get out on their own. In this regard, residents were urged not to descend into vegetable and inspection pits alone and to exercise increased caution.
