One of the oldest motorcycle festivals in the Sverdlovsk region, which is held annually in Irbit, will not take place in 2026. The organizers announced the cancellation of the event on social media.
In recent days, they had hoped that the water level would drop and the festival could be held, but the flood situation did not improve.
— The stadium where the competitions were held is completely flooded. Only the roofs of the toilets installed on the territory are visible above the water. The depth here is significant. The entire clearing has turned into a sea of puddles. The water has flooded the water pump, so there is no drinking water. In addition, the road to Malinovka has been so washed out and flooded that it is impossible to drive on it in a passenger car, — said one of the organizers in a video posted in the official festival community.
In addition to the flooding, the organizers reported difficulties with fuel supplies. As a result, due to force majeure circumstances, it was decided to completely cancel the festival.
— We are currently calculating the losses incurred, waiting for the water to recede in order to assess the extent of the damage and develop a recovery plan, — the organizers reported.
