A witness revealed how a resident of Sverdlovsk actually died in Kabardino-Balkaria.
A tragedy occurred in Kabardino-Balkaria involving a tourist from the Sverdlovsk region. The accident happened on the afternoon of July 19 in the Jily-Su area—a high-altitude region on the northern slope of Elbrus in the Zolsky district of the republic. The 44-year-old woman was on an excursion visiting the Sultan waterfall as part of a tourist group. According to eyewitnesses, she suddenly felt unwell before the incident.
— I was not in her group, I just happened to be in Jily-Su. I saw the fall. People who were near her said that she first felt unwell, sat down on a rock, then got up, took a few steps, and fell down. Medics suggested that the cause could have been a stroke caused by a thrombus, — an eyewitness reported in a conversation with "KP-Yekaterinburg."
The body of the deceased was evacuated from the gorge and handed over to the investigative operational group of law enforcement agencies. Earlier, there was information that the woman fell from a height.
