The traffic police are establishing the circumstances of the accident that occurred yesterday on Kraulya Street, 65 in Yekaterinburg.
According to preliminary data, a 26-year-old rider of a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, moving straight along Kraulya Street towards Gurzufskaya, hit a pedestrian born in 1956, who was crossing the roadway at an unregulated place from left to right in the direction of the vehicle's movement, reported the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia in Yekaterinburg.
As a result of the traffic incident, the pedestrian died at the scene from the injuries sustained before the arrival of the ambulance crew. The identity of the deceased is being established. The motorcycle rider, with injuries, was taken to a medical facility.
The motorcyclist has 4 years of riding experience, reported the State Traffic Inspectorate.
