The acquittal of a Yekaterinburg woman who "ordered" the murder of her former partner has been overturned.

      The Sverdlovsk Regional Court overturned the acquittal in the case of a female tutor accused of organizing the preparation for the contract killing of her former partner, the father of her child.

      The acquittal regarding 42-year-old Natalia Isaeva, accused of organizing the preparation for a contract killing, was issued in June by the Kirov District Court of Yekaterinburg. At the request of the defendant, her case was considered with the participation of a jury.

      The investigation believed that Isaeva, harboring animosity towards her former partner due to disagreements over visits with their common child, hired a hitman and promised a reward (no less than 276,998 rubles). However, the "killer" informed the man about everything, and he contacted law enforcement.

      However, the jury concluded that the event of the crime was absent. Based on the jury's verdict, the court acquitted Isaeva and recognized her right to rehabilitation.

      The verdict was appealed in a higher court. Following the appellate review, the judicial panel on criminal cases of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court overturned the acquittal due to procedural violations committed by the first-instance court during the consideration of the case.

      The criminal case has been sent for a new hearing in the same court, but with a different panel of judges.

      Earlier in February, the jury acquitted Natalia Guseva, the mother of a 3-year-old boy who was killed in an apartment on Sireneviy Boulevard in Yekaterinburg. According to the prosecution's version, the woman beat her child, born from a young foreign partner, to death. In June, this acquittal was overturned on appeal.
