A resident of Yekaterinburg corresponded with a 10-year-old girl for a year and sent her his intimate photos. According to the publication "KP-Yekaterinburg," in August 2024, a native of Tavda met the schoolgirl on Telegram.
Over several weeks, the man ingratiated himself with the girl and began demanding specific photos and videos from her. The Ural resident regularly asked the child to keep their correspondence a secret. They communicated until the end of October 2025, when the schoolgirl's parents found out about everything.
In November of the same year, the man was arrested and sent to a pre-trial detention center. Initially, he was charged under the article "Violent sexual acts," and later under "Using a minor for the purpose of producing pornographic materials or items." He faced up to 20 years in prison.
During the investigation of the criminal case, the 41-year-old Ural resident was declared insane. In June 2026, the court sent Evgeny for compulsory treatment.
The press service of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk region did not comment on this situation.
