A woman who got lost near Polevskoy has been found alive.
As previously reported by the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 66-year-old Natalia Ponomareva went into the forest for mushrooms near the village of Poldnevaya on July 23 and went missing. On the night of July 23, her husband contacted the police.
For two days, police officers and their volunteer helpers, hunters and volunteers, searched for the missing woman.
"About 50 police officers and 5 units of equipment were involved in the search. They also searched from the air using drones. The search continued both day and night," the OMVD of Russia "Polevskoy" told Channel 4.
Last night, volunteers found the woman 10 kilometers from the place where she entered the forest, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region reported.
She was discovered in a fishing hut. Natalia is now with her family, and she did not require medical assistance.
