The industry of the Sverdlovsk region is still losing production volumes. According to the results of the first half of 2026, the industrial production index in the region was 91.7% compared to the same period last year, which means a decrease of 8.3%. The decline is mainly noticeable in the manufacturing industry, where production volumes decreased by 9.4%, and in the extraction of mineral resources — the index is 90.8%, a decline of 92%. At the same time, some sectors still showed growth. For example, the production and distribution of electricity, gas, and steam increased by 3.6%, reports the publication EAN.
It should be noted that the reduction in industrial production has been ongoing in the Sverdlovsk region since the beginning of the year. It was previously reported that investments in fixed assets decreased in the region. In January-December 2025, investments amounting to 919.4 billion were used, which amounted to 92.8% in comparable prices to the same period last year. The average consumer price index and tariffs across all sectors was 107.5. At the same time, agricultural producers noted a decrease of 4%.
