Ural agrarians complained about fuel problems before the harvest campaign.

      Chelyabinsk farmers are facing a fuel shortage at the start of the harvest campaign. Farmers engaged in livestock breeding wrote in the group "Tekstler, help" on the social network "VKontakte" that they are forced to spend time searching for gasoline at gas stations instead of taking care of their farms. This could easily lead to a reduction in livestock in the near future.

      — We don’t need whole tankers, we need a few cans of a specific brand of fuel per week. But we are forced to buy fuel at gas stations on a general basis, — quotes one of the farmers from the publication EAN.

      Small farms will be forced to switch to low-productivity manual labor, which will lead to a reduction in livestock and a threat to food security. Olga Pestrikova, the executive director of the Union of Farmers' Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives of the Chelyabinsk Region, told EAN that this problem is widespread, and complaints about the fuel shortage are coming from other agrarians as well. In her opinion, direct supply contracts should be concluded with large fuel companies to provide agrarians with fuel at acceptable prices during the harvest period. The Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region responded that the situation is under constant control of the regional government. A large fuel supply is expected in the near future.

      — At the level of the federal ministries of agriculture and energy, the declared volumes of diesel fuel supplies for the region's agrarians for July and August have been agreed upon, totaling 15 thousand tons, which will be carried out by vertically integrated oil companies. Fuel delivery will begin soon, and the regional Ministry of Agriculture will coordinate the work, — clarified the agency.

      Earlier, agrarians in the Sverdlovsk region complained about a twofold increase in fuel prices.
