In Yekaterinburg, several popular tram routes have been changed, and some have been canceled.
Starting August 1, tram routes in Yekaterinburg have been changed, and some have been canceled. This is explained by the "convenience for residents." This is reported by the Telegram channel "Crazy Yekb."
Thus, residents of Sortirovka, Uralmash, and Zarechny have lost tram No. 23. Now, to get to work, they will need to travel to Kirov and wait for it there. Additionally, route No. 20 has been canceled, and residents of Pionersky can no longer reach home on No. 16, as it has been redirected to Akademichesky.
Moreover, tram No. 12 will now go to Shartash instead of ZBI: from the Palace of Sports through the Train Station, back along Lunacharsky - Kuybyshev. Tram No. 16 has been extended from Volgogradskaya to Akademichesky: instead of looping through Pionersky, it will go directly along Lenin Avenue - Gagarin - Malyshev to ZBI.
It is also clarified that trolleybus No. 28 will now go along Chkalova instead of Wilhelm de Genin.
Earlier, it was reported that public transport in Yekaterinburg would have extended hours on City Day.
