Damage of about 130 thousand rubles was caused to the pea crops on the territory of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences research center after children rode ATVs there on July 13. This was reported to TASS by the institution's lawyer Leonid Savin.
According to him, part of the crops was indeed damaged. The scientific center is currently deciding on filing a civil lawsuit.
It was after this incident that the children met with the center's director Nikita Zezin and his deputy. Later, according to the investigation, the fathers of two minor participants in the conflict attacked the scientists and beat them.
Nine days after the incident, Nikita Zezin passed away. Both defendants in the case are in custody.
