In Yekaterinburg, police detained three Chinese citizens suspected of stealing money from one of the passengers on the Ural Airlines flight to Istanbul. A video of the incident appeared on social media, reports the EAN agency.
One of the passengers discovered the money was missing before the flight. Instead of the stolen bills, the alleged thief tried to slip counterfeit notes into the bag but was noticed.
Police who boarded the plane detained the three Chinese citizens. It turned out that they had no luggage or even carry-on bags with them, reports the "TurDom" portal.
The flight to Istanbul was delayed by an hour due to the incident. The police did not officially comment on the occurrence.
