In 2011, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court sentenced him to 20 years in a strict regime colony. The convicted man has repeatedly submitted requests for a milder regime and early conditional release.
The raider's accomplice, killer Vitaly Pilshchikov, also achieved a reduction in his sentence, reports 66.RU. According to the portal, he lives in Yekaterinburg with his family outside the Federal Penitentiary Service facility and commutes to work using public transport.
However, on August 6, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court denied Pilshchikov's request for parole, despite his "exemplary behavior," notes 66.RU. According to the prosecutor, the convicted man does not deserve early release, as he stopped receiving incentives after transitioning to a free settlement. He still has nearly a year and a half of community service left to serve.
