In Yekaterinburg, the international book festival "Red Line," which previously took place in the Historical Square, will change its usual venue this year, the portal 66.RU learned. Instead of the Historical Square, "Red Line" will be held at Oktyabrskaya Square.
Festival organizer Sergey Sivoplyas told 66.RU that they were informed a few days ago about the need to find a new venue. The city administration explained this decision by the beginning of renovation work at Plotinka.
— "And now, three weeks before the festival, we are told: 'We need to repair the tiles, let's find a new place,'" Sivoplyas explained to 66.RU. Fortunately, Oktyabrskaya Square was quickly agreed upon as the new location.
Despite the change of venue, which will require additional costs, the organizers promise that entry for visitors will remain free. The book fair, meetings with writers, lectures, and other events of the "Red Line" will take place at Oktyabrskaya Square from August 21 to 23.
