The criminal talent was demonstrated in June by a 21-year-old employee of the Wildberries order pickup point on Lenin Avenue in Nizhny Tagil. The girl opened packages containing jewelry, took the items for herself, and processed the empty boxes as returns, sending them back to the warehouse. She later pawned the jewelry.
According to the investigation, in just two weeks, she managed to steal four items of 585 gold - earrings and three chains. The total value of the stolen items amounted to 245,000 rubles. However, when she pawned the stolen goods, she received a significantly lower amount - about 70,000 rubles.
The theft was uncovered by the marketplace management during a check of "stuck" orders and subsequent review of surveillance camera footage.
According to the case materials, the girl immediately confessed to her actions during a conversation with her superiors. During the investigation, she also admitted her guilt. The materials have already been submitted from the police to the Leninsky District Court of Nizhny Tagil.
