      Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of Yekaterinburg are establishing the circumstances of a traffic accident involving a minor pedestrian, the city's traffic police propaganda department reported on Tuesday.

      The incident occurred at 18:40 the day before, on August 17, in the area of the house at 35 Yevgeniya Savkova Street. According to preliminary information, an unidentified driver, operating an unidentified personal mobility device, was moving towards Yevgeniya Savkova Street on the sidewalk along Architect Belyankin Street and struck a child who ran out from behind the corner of the house.

      With various injuries, the 8-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to DMB No. 9. After examining the injured child, he was released home.

      Currently, the identity of the driver and the brand of the personal mobility device are being established.

      The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that the movement of individuals using personal mobility devices is allowed at a speed of no more than 25 km/h. If movement on the sidewalk, pedestrian path, or within pedestrian zones poses a threat or obstruction to pedestrian traffic, the operator of the personal mobility device is obliged to reduce speed to a minimum. Leaving the scene of an accident is a serious violation and entails administrative responsibility.
