The city hall reported that hot water is returning to the homes of Yekaterinburg residents.

      In Yekaterinburg, hot water supply is being restored in stages. As of 1:00 PM on August 18, water has already appeared in several districts and micro-districts of the city. Energy workers have completed the necessary work on the heating networks: they restored circulation, flushed the pipes, and received the results of water analyses. After that, hot water supply began to be returned to consumers. Currently, hot water is already being supplied:

      — in the Academic and Oktyabrsky districts — in the area of Eastern, Kuibyshev, and Siberian tract streets;

      — in the Botanical, Pioneer, ZBI, Blue Stones, Bus Station, Pre-Botanical, Ukhtus, Khimmash, Compressor, Koltsovo, Novokoltsovsky, Vtorchermet, and Sorting;

      — in the Southwest district — on Aviation, Amundsen, Reshetnikov, Onufriev, and Volgograd streets;

      — in the central part of the city — in the square of Malyshev, Tveritin, Belinsky, and Eastern streets;

      — in houses connected to most local boiler houses. The exception so far is the boiler house on Krasnodarskaya. By the end of August 18, hot water is planned to be fully returned to the residents of Sorting and part of the houses in the Verkh-Isetsky district. At the same time, cold water is currently being supplied in Yekaterinburg in full volume.

      Problems with cold water supply in Yekaterinburg began after eight filters at the water treatment station failed on August 7. As a result, the pressure in the system decreased, and some micro-districts were left without both cold and hot water at the same time.
