"Someone else's wedding." Customs officers in Koltsovo disrupted the celebration for a passenger from Tashkent.

      A passenger at Koltsovo Airport attempted to bring nine wedding dresses to Yekaterinburg. She was stopped in the "green" corridor of the international terminal by customs officers, the press service of the Ural Customs Administration reports.

      The citizen, who arrived on a flight from Tashkent, explained that the goods—nine wedding dresses with veils, hangers, and scraps of fabric with rhinestones—totaling 68 kilograms, were intended for commercial purposes: to place advertisements on electronic platforms and rent the dresses to brides.

      The woman had thought everything through down to the details, from the rental price to the dry cleaning where the dresses would be cleaned. However, she did not consider the need to declare commercial shipments of goods that do not pertain to personal use.

      The movement of commercial shipments across the customs border of the EAEU is only possible if they are declared, the Ural Customs Administration reminded. To do this, it is necessary to submit a declaration to the electronic declaration center.

      An administrative offense case was initiated against the passenger under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Russia (failure to declare goods).
