In Verkhnyaya Pyshma, a train is being assembled that will travel at a speed of 400 km/h.
At the Ural Locomotives plant in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, the assembly of the first Russian high-speed train cars has begun. The enterprise is working on the first two sets for the future Moscow - St. Petersburg high-speed rail line.
Currently, 14 out of 16 car bodies have been welded. Nine of them have already been transferred to the assembly stage. Specialists are installing thermal and sound insulation, laying cables, and mounting windows, doors, and interior panels. Special solutions have been developed for the train, designed for speeds of up to 400 km/h.
In particular, the side windows are glued into the aluminum body—this technology helps reduce noise and vibration levels in the cabin. The doors have received reinforced seals that will ensure the airtightness of the car, and the control system will prevent the train from starting to move with an incompletely closed door.
A new pantograph with improved aerodynamics has also been created for the high-speed train. It is lighter and quieter than previous models and is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -50 to +75 °C.
In total, about 150 enterprises from different regions of Russia are involved in the creation of the train. The Moscow - St. Petersburg high-speed rail line is being built as part of the national project "Efficient Transport System."
