"Like an enemy of the people." A resident of the Urals complained about hate after a VIDEO of buying 1300 liters of gasoline.
A resident of the Sverdlovsk region, Konstantin, faced backlash on social media after he filmed a video showing how he bought 1300 liters of gasoline in one night. Users accused him of exacerbating the shortage and increasing queues at gas stations.
The man traveled around gas stations filling canisters and a large tank in his minibus. In just one night, he purchased nearly 1300 liters, reports "Channel 4" in MAX.
The man explained that he needs the fuel for his business: he has 10 ATVs, 15 motorcycles, and two UAZ vehicles used for conducting tours. He mentioned that he filled canisters with the same amount of fuel in May, and at that time, the gas station staff were happy to serve him.
"And now many perceive me as an enemy of the people, even though nothing has changed for me personally," the man lamented.
"I have to stay up at night, drive around, and search to avoid standing in queues. I don't refuel in Yekaterinburg: with my volume, no one will let me fill 300-500 liters at a public gas station," Konstantin explained to a correspondent from "Channel 4."
