On September 1, 2026, the new educational and residential complex of the Yekaterinburg Spiritual Seminary was ceremoniously opened on September 1 in Verkhnyaya Pyshma with the participation of the top officials of the Yekaterinburg clergy, authorities, and business. The large-scale facility was built with the support of UGMK, reports the Yekaterinburg Diocese on its channel in MAX.
To congratulate the seminarians and the leadership of the spiritual educational institution, the presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District Artem Zhoga, Vice-Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Vasily Kozlov, head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov, benefactors and patrons — General Director of UGMK Andrey Kozitsyn, founder and head of the company "Sima-Lend" Andrey Simanovsky, representatives of RMK, members of the legislative assembly, and other guests arrived in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
Before the ceremonial opening of the seminary building, they toured the library center with a unique collection of ancient tomes, as well as visited the cells — modern living quarters for seminarians.
The overview tour for the honored guests was personally conducted by the head of the Yekaterinburg Metropolis, Bishop Evgeny (Kulberg). At the beginning of 2022, the Yekaterinburg Spiritual Seminary received state accreditation, placing it alongside state universities. In June of this year, it became known that the spiritual educational institution is moving to a new building, specially constructed for it in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
