Cottage villages in Yekaterinburg may be completely disconnected from the internet.
Cottage settlements in Yekaterinburg may lose wired internet after the launch of the telecommunications operators licensing reform. This was stated by the head of the "Rostelecom" association, Oleg Grishchenko, during a press conference at the "Russian Newspaper." According to him, federal players predominantly serve apartment buildings. In the suburbs, regional companies mainly operate. As an example, Grishchenko mentioned how federal-level companies service rural areas: large companies respond to reports of communication disruptions more slowly, as specialists may come only once or twice a week.
Earlier, we reported that a significant portion of telecommunications operators may leave the Sverdlovsk region due to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation's reform. In some regions, all local providers are at risk of disappearing, which threatens the population with a loss of internet access.
