Already this coming Sunday, July 27, from 11:00 to 20:00, a large family festival in support of homeless animals called "Man's Best Friend's Home" will be held in Mayakovsky Park in Yekaterinburg. Five private shelters in need of assistance will participate in this wonderful summer event.
The festival program includes: dog walks from shelters, educational excursions about the flora and fauna of Mayakovsky Park, free master classes for children with gifts, lectures by a canine specialist and veterinarian, a charity fair of Ural artists, and a grand dog parade.
Main festival guests are dogs from five private shelters and foster homes in Yekaterinburg: "Zooprotection," "Lapodai," "Sirius," "Stretch Out Your Paw," and "Big Dog."
Visitors will have the opportunity to personally meet adorable puppies and adult dogs of various breeds and sizes. Everyone interested can take a dog for a walk in the park at a designated time.
Additional activities at the festival include:
- Helping through action: learn details about dogs looking for a home and the work of shelters.
- Buying food, treats, and accessories at special prices from the festival's partner — the "Zapovednik" store — and immediately donating them to shelters on the spot.
- Finding unique gifts and supporting animals: the charity fair will feature handmade works by Ural artists and craftsmen — jewelry, badges, postcards, posters, sketches. Part of the proceeds from each purchase will also go to help animals. Animal rescuers are participating as well!
- Learning something new: listen to useful lectures by a canine specialist and veterinarian about training dogs and essential hygiene care for animals.
At 19:00, all visitors are invited to an extraordinary theatrical carnival procession with giant cardboard dogs created by workshop participants at "Gav-Workshop" and live dogs. Organizers invite pet owners with their furry companions to join!
The procession will end with lively dances with dogs.
