An eco-station for recycling will resume operation at the MEGA site

Today at 16:10, the "Separate with MEGA" eco-station began operating in 2019. In June of this year, it ceased activities due to the decision of "Spetsavtobazy." Simultaneously, other stations in the city were closed along with the collection point at MEGA.

Now, the eco-station will have a new partner, LLC "Fenix," and its working hours will remain the same— from 10:00 to 22:00 daily.

"Today, MEGA eco-stations are operating nationwide, but 'Separate with MEGA' in Yekaterinburg ranks first in a number of indicators—visitor numbers, collected fractions, and total volume of recyclables. This is the best confirmation that the residents of Yekaterinburg care about the planet's future. Together with the city administration, we have made every effort to restore the operation of our eco-station as quickly as possible. And we are very glad that we managed to do this in the shortest possible time," said Svetlana Lansford, manager of the MEGA Yekaterinburg shopping center.

The average monthly attendance of the eco-station was 30,000 people, and the volume of recyclables sent for processing exceeded 50 tons.

After signing the contract, the new operator will take over the premises and install the necessary equipment at the eco-station.

Once a month, the operator will hold a campaign for collecting batteries from residents free of charge.
