Hockey player Vladimir Galkin from HK "Automobilist" and his wife Milena became victims of theft during their honeymoon in France, reports Е1.RU.
As Milena recounted two weeks later on Instagram* (*the social network is owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia, and is banned), the theft occurred in Lyon, where they stayed.
"We stayed in Lyon overnight in the city center, and the next day left all our belongings in the car. Why? Because it was convenient, and we were in the city center. It seemed like nothing could happen in 2-3 hours of us being away during the day. Turns out, it can," Milena explained.
The back window of the car was broken, and two bags disappeared from the interior (one of which contained Milena's passport). There were suitcases in the trunk, but the thief either couldn't or didn't get to them. The hotel couldn't assist the Russians with surveillance footage—the camera at the entrance turned out to be a dummy.
Twenty-five-year-old Vladimir Galkin is a native of Chelyabinsk, a product of "Traktor." He has a contract with the Yekaterinburg club until May 2027. His jersey number is 1.
