Yesterday at 09:43, on August 4, in the village of Verkhnee Dubrovo, near Yekaterinburg, a teenager on a pit bike died following a traffic accident. He was hit by a car.

According to the Sverdlovsk prosecutor's office, the driver of a Lada attempted to overtake a vehicle going in the same direction and crossed into oncoming traffic. At that moment, a 16-year-old was riding a pit bike towards him. The collision caused the teenager to sustain multiple injuries. He died en route to the hospital.
— An inspection will be conducted to verify compliance with legislation on the protection of minors' health and safety. Based on the results, prosecutorial measures will be taken if grounds are found, — the agency clarified.

The Lada driver has two years of driving experience and has previously been subjected to administrative penalties 119 times.
