It is worth noting that Yekaterinburg plans to purchase a total of 15 such trams. The first two will be sent to Akademichesky. About 2.7 billion rubles were allocated for the new vehicles. However, during the bidding process, they were purchased from the Ust-Katav plant (Chelyabinsk Region) for 2.1 billion rubles.
A three-section tram reaches 25.8 meters in length, with a total capacity of 261 passengers, including 64 seated places. The delivery date is January 2026, but they may arrive earlier. These 15 trams constitute the first batch; a second batch will include 35 trams.
It was previously reported that the Yekaterinburg administration will conduct 12 auctions for new tram routes designed to accommodate three-section cars.
