Near Yekaterinburg, residents of a settlement complained about packs of aggressive stray dogs.
In the Medny settlement in Sverdlovsk Oblast, locals are afraid of stray dogs. According to witnesses, packs of animals create unsanitary conditions and threaten household pets.
Aggressive dogs regularly attack cats and small dogs. In January this year, five dead cats were found in the settlement.
Recently, stray animals attacked two small dogs. The owners were unable to find one of them. The second was rescued but could not be saved — more than 20 bite wounds were recorded on its body, reports TagilCity.ru.
At the same time, locals complain about the activities of animal control services. Their representatives often limit themselves to inspecting the area and then leave. When dogs are caught, they are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and returned. However, residents believe this practice does not solve the problem of aggressive behavior. Locals insist that decisive measures by the authorities and a responsible approach to regulating the number of stray animals are needed, writes EAN.
Earlier in Yekaterinburg, a German Shepherd bit a mother with two children.
