Classes at a Yekaterinburg lyceum were unexpectedly shortened.
In Yekaterinburg Lyceum No. 109 on Volgogradskaya Street, lessons were unexpectedly shortened to 35 minutes. It turned out students don’t have time to eat lunch in the cafeteria.
The extra five minutes were added to breaks. Now breaks will be 20 minutes long.
“The lyceum is in danger of being transformed into a cafeteria. Because of the change, children have less time to master the curriculum, they will perform worse academically and will not be focused in class. The lyceum will be seen not as a place for acquiring knowledge but as a place to eat and wait in line for the cafeteria,” complained the mother of one of the students to E1.RU.
The education department hurried to reassure parents: the lessons were shortened temporarily, until the lyceum has a permanent schedule.
Earlier we reported that in Sverdlovsk Oblast a student was not admitted to the 10th grade despite good grades.
