Sverdlovsk security forces caught the Ural Jackie Chan.
An 18‑year‑old man nicknamed "Jackie Chan from Pekhotintsev Street" was detained in Yekaterinburg. In mid‑August he attacked a bus driver right at the entrance to the victim’s building.
According to police, the attacker struck the man and then took his bag, which contained documents, keys and 25,000 rubles. The victim went to a trauma clinic, where doctors recorded a concussion, after which he filed a report with the police.
It turned out the assailant lives nearby. He is unemployed and had no prior criminal record. That evening, law enforcement officials said, the young man mistook the man for a drunken passerby and decided to take advantage of the situation.
"He knocked the victim down by kicking him in the back and punching him in the back of the head. During the arrest he also tried to show off his 'kung‑fu,' but the police acted faster," the Yekaterinburg police department said.
A criminal case has been opened against the young man on a charge of robbery. He faces up to seven years in prison. Investigators are checking his possible involvement in other crimes.
