In Yekaterinburg, law enforcement officers at the railway station detained a 20-year-old resident of Tavda who was on the federal wanted list. The young man tried to evade justice to avoid liability in a criminal case brought under the article “Threat of murder or causing grievous bodily harm,” the press service of the Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Ural Federal District (UrFO) reported.
As the agency clarified, in the course of the criminal investigation a preventive measure was imposed on the suspect — a written undertaking not to leave. However, he ignored a summons to court and was declared wanted.
Law enforcement received information that the wanted man might attempt to leave the city by train. He was detained at the station while trying to travel to Yaroslavl. The young man was taken to the duty office of the railway police department and the originator of the search was notified of his detention.
