The Yekaterinburg administration rejected the project to build a new street in Vtuzgorodok.
Yekaterinburg Mayor Alexey Orlov sent the draft for the construction of a new street, which is to run between Malysheva and Pedagogicheskaya, back for revision.
The decision was made following public discussions held in absentia. Participants criticized the project for envisaging the demolition of industrial buildings, including the premises of the Uraltechnologiya enterprise.
"Reject and send for revision the planning project and the land demarcation project for the territory intended for the placement of the linear object — the planned street from Malysheva to Pedagogicheskaya," the EAN publication cites the text of the document.
By another decree, a proposal to develop a planning project for the construction of an extension of Pedagogicheskaya, which was supposed to provide a transport link to the new thoroughfare laid southward from Malysheva, was rejected.
It was previously reported that two glass high-rises are to be built on the site of the demolished "Karneol."
