An overpass at this location has been discussed for decades. Funding was only found in 2025. Just the first phase of work is estimated at more than 1.1 billion rubles. According to Denis Pasler, the idea of construction was discussed as far back as the 1990s, and it took more than 30 years from concept to implementation, during which the load on the highway only increased.
The construction will cover a 2.2 km stretch. A 30-meter bridge with four lanes — two in each direction — will be built here. The width of the structure will be 26 meters; lighting and turning loops are planned for the convenience of residents of nearby settlements. The bridge's capacity will be more than 13,000 vehicles per day.
The overpass is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2027.
