
An accomplice of former police officers died before the gang was broken up in Yekaterinburg.
One of the alleged members of the gang of former militsiya officers, who are currently on trial for murders in Yekaterinburg, died before being detained. This was reported by Ura.Ru, citing its sources.
According to an insider at the outlet, it concerns a former officer of the Kirovsky ROVD. He died a natural death. The alleged ringleader of the group — former head of the narcotics department of the Kirovsky ROVD, Vladislav Sobol — struck a deal with investigators and said that he had killed victims together with this man.
At the moment Sobol is on trial in the Zheleznodorozhny District. His colleague, Vladimir Semenyuk, has also been sentenced. The court sentenced him to nine years in a penal colony.
Recall that hearings are currently underway in Yekaterinburg’s district courts considering the criminal cases of members of the gang of militsiya officers organized by the head of OBON of the Kirovsky ROVD, Vladislav Sobol.
In particular, a criminal case has been filed with the Kirovsky District Court against a former officer of the Kirovsky ROVD, 55-year-old Anton Borovik, who currently holds the post of head of the Real Estate Transactions Department of the Yekaterinburg Administration. There has been no official announcement of his dismissal from the mayor’s office.
