In Yekaterinburg, the bypass road has been blocked.

      There have been traffic jams for several weeks on the section of Obezdnaya Road near its intersection with Shcherbakova Street. Recently workers narrowed the carriageway (in the direction of Moskovskaya) to one lane. Later traffic was restored to two lanes, but drivers were unhappy.

      The mayor’s office reported that two crews are working on the section. The first is from the city administration, the second from the builders of the "Zolotoy" bus station. The workers building the "Zolotoy" are engaged in arranging the future ramp for buses leading into the tunnel under Shcherbakova Street. The mayor’s contractors are restoring the section of Obezdnaya Road from Bazovy Lane to house No. 50 on Krestinsky Street, reports the portal E1.RU.

      The city administration clarified that the current work on Obezdnaya was planned for the summer of 2026. But funding allowed the schedule to be adjusted. Motorists were urged to be patient.

      "The repair work on the section of Obezdnaya will be completed by October 15," the Yekaterinburg mayor’s office replied.

      When the work to construct the ramp into the bus tunnel will be completed is not yet known.

      For reference, "Zolotoy" will be located within the boundaries of Belinsky, Shvarts, Krestinsky and Obezdnaya streets. The shopping center will be connected by a direct exit to the Botanicheskaya metro station. In addition, the builders plan to reconstruct the above-ground pedestrian crossing that passes over Obezdnaya.
