"It's peach-colored!" Uralmash basketball players "explained" their new "pink" kit.
The press service of the Uralmash basketball club (Yekaterinburg) explained to subscribers who had criticized the color scheme of the athletes' new kit that it is not pink but peach.
"It's peach," the athletes' representatives wrote on the BC "Uralmash" Telegram channel, accompanying their statement with a reproduction of Valentin Serov's famous painting "Girl with Peaches."
Moreover, they even "dressed" Serov's girl herself in the "peach" kit.
As the Telegram channel "SVET Yekaterinburg" notes, earlier fans had criticized the Ural team's kit for the new season for its "pink" color. "Yeah... Factory workers))) At the factory they'd ask for that kind of kit," joked one of the commenters in the chat.
In previous seasons Yekaterinburg's basketball players competed in orange, white or black kits.
Attentive followers also noticed that the club's signature cogwheel had somehow disappeared from the new kit.
