"The body had already begun to decompose": Yekaterinburg residents were choking for two weeks due to the smell of a corpse in the building.

      Residents of the building at 5 Rodonitovaya Street complained of a stench of decomposition that had seeped into their apartments after a neighbor died. Her body had lain in the apartment for about two weeks.

      When the smell became unbearable, the neighbors called the emergency services. Forcing the door open, they found the woman's body on the bed in one of the rooms. It had been there for about two weeks.

      "The investigator locked the apartment. After that the smell began to penetrate neighboring flats and flies appeared. Not only in the neighbors' apartments, but in the stairwell too. Heating will be turned on soon, and the body has already begun to decompose; the whole stench has soaked into the belongings, into the bed, into the mattress," a neighbor told the E1.RU portal.

      According to her, the police still cannot find the deceased's relatives.

      Recall that a similar incident occurred in May. Then residents of the apartment building at 35/2 Yevgeniya Savkova Street smelled the stench of decomposition for a week.
