In Nizhny Tagil a 20-year-old student became the victim of scammers after believing in easy earnings and taking out a large loan for that purpose, reports KP-Ekaterinburg.
As the victim told police officers, she found the enticing offer of “additional earnings” in one of the messaging apps. An unknown company promised to fully repay the bank loan taken out and to pay the client 10% of its amount as a reward, reports the press group of the Municipal Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Nizhny Tagil.”
Believing this, the student contacted a company representative, a man named Vladimir, and, following his instructions, took out a bank loan online for more than 915,000 rubles.
The student transferred the loan funds to the account specified by “Vladimir.” As a “reward” she was returned 91,000 rubles. She realized what had happened when the first loan payment became due and had not been paid. By that time the “company representative” had already blocked her number.
