
Media: Former deputy governor Oleg Chemezov summoned for questioning
In Yekaterinburg, former vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Oleg Chemezov was summoned for questioning, local media report.
The official received a summons to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Russian Interior Ministry for the Sverdlovsk Region to be questioned as a witness on the morning of September 29. Chemezov himself confirmed this information to E1.RU.
Investigators are interested in the activities of Navigator LLC, but, according to Oleg Chemezov, he knows nothing about that company, E1.RU writes.
Recall that the former vice-governor is a defendant in a lawsuit by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against the owners of Oblkommunenergo.
The Prosecutor General’s Office is asking the Lenin District Court of Yekaterinburg to transfer to state ownership the shares of JSC Oblkommunenergo registered to JSC SUNECO, and the shares of JSC SUNECO registered to Corporation STS LLC.
In total, the claim lists 80 companies and enterprises. As interim measures, the Prosecutor General’s Office is seeking to freeze assets.
There are 14 individuals and 20 companies named as defendants in the suit. Among them are businessmen Alexei Bobrov and Artem Bikov, former Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Sverdlovsk Region Nikolai Smirnov, former Minister for State Property of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexei Pyankov, and vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Oleg Chemezov, RIA Novosti reports.
By decree of Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler on September 25, Chemezov was dismissed from the regional government. Earlier, the E1.RU portal recalled the main milestones of the former deputy head’s career and how he came into the regional government.
