
A poster about contraceptive methods was torn down and trampled at a hospital in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, the head of the medical-social service of perinatal psychologists at the Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Health, Mark Itskovich, tore down and trampled on a poster about contraception in Women’s Clinic No. 1. The video was posted on Telegram by Natalya Moskvitina, director of the Women for Life foundation and a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
In the recording, made during an inspection of the city’s clinics, Moskvitina draws attention to a display with information on methods of contraception. She expressed displeasure that sterilization was listed among the recommendations, “given the current demographic situation,” and demanded the material be removed. After that, together with Itskovich, they took down the poster, which the official crumpled and trampled.
According to her, following the inspection the disputed poster was removed, and Clinic No. 1 received a sticker reading “Improvements are being made here.”
