Sima-Land employees congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday.
Employees of businessman Andrey Simanovsky’s company Sima‑Land, following tradition, congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his birthday with a flash mob.
To the music of the dynastic hymn “Slavsya” from Mikhail Glinka’s (1804–1857) opera A Life for the Tsar they formed the Russian tricolor and wished Vladimir Vladimirovich a happy birthday.
The original version of the march was monarchical; the current one is sometimes called Russia’s unofficial anthem. According to Wikipedia, “Slavsya” has been the official melody at the Russian president’s inauguration since 2000.
Russian President Vladimir V. Putin turned 73 today. As RIA Novosti reports, the head of state has already been congratulated on his birthday by the bashkan of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul; the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi; the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko; and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
The Kremlin also confirmed that on Tuesday Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. Interstate relations with Azerbaijan are at their lowest point in years.
Telegram bloggers also expect that later in the evening Vladimir Putin will be congratulated by his American counterpart, Donald Trump.
