It emerged which companies had expressed interest in buying stores of the Ural chain "Zhiznmart". It turned out that VkusVill had entered into negotiations to acquire the premises.
"There were negotiations with VkusVill. They were asked if they were ready to take over the Zhiznmart outlets. Company representatives replied that they were willing, but without buying the equipment and the other items. They said that in any case they would strip everything inside," a source told the E1.RU portal.
Nevertheless, the talks were only about buying the premises, not the entire business.
According to an E1.RU source, Yandex.Lavka also considered the possibility of buying the stores.
Zhiznmart itself replied that they have been receiving such offers, but did not disclose from whom.
"We are considering offers in the ordinary course of business as part of assessing market conditions. At the moment there are no active deals to sell the Zhiznmart chain," company representatives clarified.
Earlier there were rumors that Zhiznmart could be sold to a federal retailer.
