In the Sverdlovsk Region they have begun keeping a register of clients who were harmed by unscrupulous companies. Since last year families have increasingly been left without money and homes, and also with debts.
The Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Construction reported that there are already 99 citizens and families on the list of victims.
— The information is entered into the register on the basis of appeals from citizens received by the Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Construction in the manner prescribed by law. The situations of the victims vary — different degrees of completion of the properties, different sums invested in construction, — the ministry told the E1.RU portal.
They also maintain a list of construction companies that have breached their obligations. It contains 18 organizations and individual entrepreneurs. Information about them is being sent to banks for inclusion on stop-lists, and also to the prosecutor’s office.
— The regional Ministry of Construction is working with municipalities. Instructions have been given to inspect the actual state of readiness of individual housing construction sites and to prevent similar situations from occurring, — the agency emphasized.
