In Yekaterinburg, authorities will raise salaries for workers in one of the sectors by 30%.
Yekaterinburg Mayor Alexey Orlov ordered a 30% pay increase for machinery operators and drivers of the city's road maintenance departments (DEUs) starting at the beginning of the new year. The decision was made to attract and retain specialists who remain the most in demand in the municipal services sector.
The mayor wrote about readiness for the winter season and measures to support workers on his Telegram channel. According to Orlov, the municipal equipment fleet is almost fully ready to operate in winter mode: "Anti-icing materials and other consumables have been purchased, and the equipment's readiness is close to 100%."
The acceptance of specialized equipment took place today at all of Yekaterinburg's district DEUs. As clarified by Deputy Head of the City Vladimir Geiko, more than 400 units of road equipment will go out onto the streets this coming winter — including combination road machines, motor graders, snow loaders, front-end loaders, sweeping tractors, dump trucks and other special equipment.
All district departments are also stocked with the necessary supplies of anti-icing materials.
